This section explains the troubleshooting errors that can arise while accessing performing the validation and deletion process using Bulk User Delete for Jira application.

1. Incorrect API token

If the entered API token is incorrect, the following error appears:

2. Failed status after Bulk Delete

Admins can see the failed entries in status page after the deletion process.

  • You cannot delete the currently logged in user.

  • Cannot delete user because issues were assigned to the specific.

Reasons

  • You cannot delete your account.

  • You cannot delete a user account if the user is assigned to an issue.

Tip

Solutions

  • Unassign the issue from the user you want to remove and try deleting it again.

3. Blank space and failed status after Bulk Delete by CSV

Blank space will appear on the status page after the deletion process.

  • You cannot delete your account.

  • You cannot delete a user account if the user is assigned to an issue.

  • The user in your group list may not match the user account ID in the CSV file.

  • Unassign the issue from the user you want to remove and try deleting it again.

  • Recheck and match the user account id added in the CSV file and try deleting it again.

  • Remove the user account ids from the CSV file that are not present in your Jira group and try deleting them again.
