How to generate API token

The API token is required to access some applications. Once generated, copy and save that API token.

The steps to generate an API token are as follows:

Step 1: Log in to the Atlassian Security section by clicking here.

The following screen appears:

Step 2: Click on the Create API token button.

Step 3: Specify any label name and click on the Create button.

The following dialog box with the new API token will appear:

Copy the above token by clicking on the Copy button.

Step 4: Click on the Close button.

The created tokens will appear in the table as shown below:

If not copied, the token cannot be opened from the table. You have to create a new API token.
