The purpose of generating an API token is to allow scripts to access REST APIs for Atlassian Cloud applications using HTTP basic authentication. You need to generate one to access our application. Once generated, copy and save it for future use.
Follow the below steps to generate an API token:
Step 1: Go to the Atlassian Security section by clicking here.
The following screen appears:
Step 2: Click on the Create API token button.
Step 3: Specify any label name and click on the Create button.
The following dialog box with the new API token will appear:

Step 4: Click on the Close button.
The created tokens will appear in the table as shown below:

The token cannot be reopened seen/copied from the table again if it is not copied and saved for later usage. A new API token must be created. |
